About Lawrence Transit System
LTS currently has a fixed route bus service for the citizens and visitors to the City of Lawrence, IN, who are in need of transportation. LTS provides curb side pickup at selected stops for the purpose of providing affordable connections throughout Lawrence and adjacent towns and areas, such as Indianapolis and McCordsville, IN. Offering relief to the poor, and under privileged is our primary goal LTS also offers special Door to Door service for special needs and elderly who are unable to ride the bus without assistance and who desire to schedule 24 hours in advance of a desired pick up time at a per service price. Special Needs accessible buses offer special rides to the disabled.
LTS is committed to providing a prompt and courteous service to those in need who desire to travel in and around the Lawrence area at an affordable price. Providing transportation to those who can not afford thier own auto, and have mobility limitations is our goal.
LTS is dedicated to to providing services to the disabled / handicapped and to the underprivledged / lower income individuals who wish to travel in and around the City of Lawrence, IN and make connections to the surrounding towns.
Making a better quality of life for you is what we have set out to do with our service.
Lawrence Transit System will soon be arriving in Columbus, Mississippi! Columbus, MS citizens will soon be enjoying a carefree ride at an affordable price to points of interest throughout the town and its surrounding areas.

Looking Ahead:
LTS expects growth from the expansion to surrounding areas where public transportation is currently underserved as well. Other services such implementing special express routes (low-stop to destination from pick-up point), providing park and ride programs (designate areas where pick-up and drop off will take place at a large parking lot for those who desire to only drive their personal vehicle part of the way to their destination). LTS will also target senior citizen complexes for their route creation process, being sure that LTS is accessible to the elderly who can no longer or desire to drive. LTS will be Special Needs accessible for all its riders.

LTS is now taking individuals with Special Needs within Lawrence, IN to your destination. Call us today and discuss your situation and we will schedule your pickup time.
LTS will be adding a 3rd downtown bus to our transit system.The 2nd bus is now full. The 3rd downtown bus will be for monthly pass holders only, beginning when we get the 3rd bus filled.
The bus will be going to Indianapolis downtown City County Building,
starting at 6:30am.
